About Kangen Water

Kangen Water brand was developed in Japan, which pioneered water ionization technology during the 1970s. The word Kangen translates to “return to origin,” and Kangen Water is intended to be clean, health-promoting water that mimics pure Zidean water such as the water from pristine mountain streams.

Innovative and pioneering, Kangen Water is manufactured by Enagic, an esteemed Japanese company with decades of expertise in the field of water ionization, making it well-known for its wellness and sustainability benefits. Since then, it has become a worldwide phenomenon, empowering individuals and families to lead healthier lives through optimal hydration and eco-friendly practices.

4 Advantages of Kangen Water

Enhanced Hydration

The molecules of Kangen water are micro-clustered or broken into smaller clusters. Its special structure makes it possible for it to be absorbed more quickly and easily by your cells, making it far more hydrating than regular water. Focus on hydration, particularly during intense or extended exercise, to boost energy, physical endurance, and cellular vitality.

Detoxification

Kangen Water, having alkaline properties, help the body eliminate toxic waste. It supports enhanced digestion, liver health, and detoxification by promoting a natural cleansing process. This makes it a great choice for balancing internal harmony.

Balanced pH

Kangen Water helps restore the body's natural pH balance by reducing acidity caused by diet, stress, and environmental factors. A balanced pH level can support better immunity, reduce inflammation, and create an environment less conducive to disease.

Antioxidant Properties

Kangen Water is a powerful antioxidant that neutralizes harmful free radicals within the body due to its rich molecular hydrogen content. It helps to reduce oxidative stress in your body, which can reduce your rate of aging, clear up cells, and protect against chronic diseases.

How is Kangen Water Made

Step 1: Filtration

Initially, tap water passes through a high-grade internal filter designed to remove chlorine, unpleasant tastes, odors, and sediments up to 5 micrometers in size. This filtration ensures that the water entering the next phase is clean and free from common contaminants

Step 2: Electrolysis

The filtered water then flows into the electrolysis chamber, which consists of multiple plates and membranes of electrodes. Water molecules are torn into acidic and alkaline parts here.

More specifically, water is separated into OH⁻ and H⁺ ions. At the cathode (the negatively charged electrode), hydrogen ions receive electrons to form molecular hydrogen (H₂), making the resultant water more alkaline.

At the other side of the electrodes, at the anode (positively charged electrode), hydroxide ions lose electrons, generating oxygen (O₂), which increases the acidity of the solution.

Here the two types of water are separated by membranes and discharged through separate outlets.

During the electrolysis process, the pH level of the aqueous solution is modified and it is enriched with molecular hydrogen, which is a reputed and highly efficient antioxidant. As a result, Kangen Water has alkalinizing and possibly health-promoting effects.

5 Types of Kangen Water

Strong Alkaline Water (pH 11)

This is the primary drinking water produced by Kangen machines. It has a high pH and contains molecular hydrogen, offering superior hydration and antioxidant properties. Regular consumption helps balance body pH and supports overall health.
